RONDEBULT FEET ON THE STREET

Event Terms & Conditions and Indemnity

By registering for and/or participating in the Rondebult Feet on the Street fun walk and run (“the Event”), each participant (or the parent/guardian of a participant under 18) agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1. Entry and registration
Entry is open to participants of all fitness levels. An entry is only confirmed once the registration form has been completed and the entry fee has been paid in full on the Quicket website by following this link: https://www.quicket.co.za/events/381674-rondebult-feet-on-the-street-fun-walkrun-fundraiser/. The entry fee is R100 per participant for the 3.5km walk/run and R150 for the 7.5km walk/run; the 7.5km entry includes an event T-shirt (limited to 350, subject to availability). Additional event T-shirts can be purchased on the Quicket events page. Registration may close once the closing date is reached or capacity is full. Please note that standard administration fees apply via the Quicket link.

2. Payment and refunds
All entry fees are payable online at the time of registration. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Optional donations made during registration are voluntary and non-refundable.

3. Participation at own risk
Participation in the Event is entirely voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. Each participant confirms that they are medically fit and have no condition that would make participation unsafe. Participants take part in the knowledge that walking and running carry inherent risks of injury. For the full Terms and Conditions, as well as the event’s FAQs, visit the foundation website: www.txfoundation.co.za.

4. Indemnity and waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the participant indemnifies and holds harmless the Thami Xala Foundation, its organisers, sponsors, volunteers, officials and the venue against any claim for death, injury, illness, loss or damage to person or property arising from participation in the Event, except where caused by gross negligence on the part of the organisers.

5. Minors
Participants under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf. The organisers may set a minimum age and may require minors to be accompanied on the route.

6. Health and safety
Participants must follow the instructions of event officials, marshals and medical staff at all times, keep to the marked route, and behave in a safe and respectful manner. The organisers may remove or stop any participant who poses a risk to themselves or others. Participants should carry any necessary personal medication.

7. Route and rules
This is a CGA (Central Gauteng Athletics) approved fun run/walk and the applicable event and athletics rules apply. The 3.5km and 7.5km routes, start time and arrangements may be adjusted by the organisers for safety or operational reasons.

8. Cancellation or postponement
The organisers may cancel, postpone, shorten or alter the Event due to weather, safety, or circumstances beyond their control (including events of force majeure). Where reasonably possible, changes will be communicated via txfoundation.co.za and the Foundation’s social media channels.

9. Personal information (POPIA)
Personal information provided during registration is collected and processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and is used only for event administration, communication and safety purposes. Information will not be sold or shared with third parties without consent, except as required to run the Event or by law.

10. Photography and media
Photographs, video and other recordings may be taken during the Event. By participating, participants consent to the Thami Xala Foundation using such images and recordings for reporting, marketing and fundraising purposes, without payment. Anyone who does not wish to be featured should notify the organisers in writing before the Event.

11. Use of funds
The Event is a fundraiser. Funds raised support the Thami Xala Foundation’s community programmes, including school shoe and library book donations, winter soup kitchens and dignity packs.

12. Acceptance and contact
Completing registration confirms that the participant (or their parent/guardian) has read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. For any queries, contact Thami Xala at thamix@txfoundation.co.za or 076 084 7842/078 002 7035.
