It is the Thami Xala Foundation’s annual community fun walk and run. The event raises funds and awareness to uplift underprivileged communities, while promoting health and wellness for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Saturday, 3 October 2026 at Rondebult Park. Registration and reporting open from 06:30 and the walk/run starts at 08h00 sharp.
There are two options: a 3.5km route and a 7.5km route. You can walk or run either distance.
Entry is R100 for the 3.5km route or R150 for the 7.5km route per person. The 7.5km entry includes an event T-shirt (limited to 350, subject to availability). Additional event T-shirts can also be purchased on the Quicket event page. Please note that standard administration fees apply as per the Quicket website.
Yes. It is a CGA (Central Gauteng Athletics) approved fun run/walk.

Online registration closes on 2 October 2026, however, late or on-the-day entries will be accepted at the venue.
Yes, limited on-the-day entries will be available at the registration desk from 06:30, subject to availability. Strictly online payments only. No cash will be accepted.
Your entry fee includes participation in your chosen distance. Participants entering the 7.5km route also receive an event T-shirt (limited to 350, subject to availability). Yes, this is a family-friendly event. Children are welcome to walk or run, but a parent or guardian must register them and provide guardian consent.
Both are welcome. You can walk, jog or run at your own pace — the focus is on community participation, health and having fun.
Comfortable walking or running shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a hat and sunscreen. Bring your registration confirmation (printed or on your phone) for check-in on the day.
Yes. Water points will be available along the route and at the finish. We also encourage participants to bring their own water bottle and refreshments.
Yes, parking will be available around the vicinity of the venue.
Yes. You can register as an individual, a family, a group/team or a corporate entry. Group and corporate entries are a great way to support the cause together.
Absolutely. You can donate directly via the website: www.txfoundation.co.za, even if you are not participating.
Funds raised support the Thami Xala Foundation’s community work, including school shoe donations, library book donations, winter soup kitchens and dignity packs for girls and boys in the community of Rondebult and surrounding areas.
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
